Cisco VOIP fucking rocks
Just setup a cisco ATA 186 and for anyone who is interested I am beyond stoked. The channel clarity is awesome and there's minimal load placed on the gateway / firewall. I would definately recommend this for any household with a good broadband connect. I'm sure this would work well for a home buisness running off a cable modem, however Im running it on a T1 with no bandwidth loss.

The best part about cisco's voip is it's networking abilities..
I used to work at this peer to peer company.. and in the peer to peer spirit, the company choose people from every area code we had employees in (every bay area area code, new york, washington dc, etc) and put a switch & 3 phonelines in their houses... Then using least cost routing, we got to call everybody in those areas for free.. we could even bring the phones home and use them over dsl.
