The feds cannot afford to let this fly. Imposition of federal law will be a test of federal power and it will happen. Obama has said that he does not support medical marijuana while at the same time giving federal prosecutors discretion in what to prosecute.
This situation will not last for long because Obama cannot afford to allow the clear threat to federal power to stand.

Never saw that combo live (Dylan-Dead), but did see Bob Dylan play an entire set with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the UC Berkeley Greek theater amphitheater, and that was pretty damn special...
Didn't see this one live, but bless the tapers (and bless Bill Graham - this video was recorded at the Bill Graham Memorial Concert in '91)...

I have no clue. I'm sure that when you are busted for smoking pot...they then up the charges when they find out how much you have in your stash. Most pot smokers I know keep a good supply.
Just like you might keep a 5 pound bag of sugar in your cupboard. You don't want to go out and buy a cup of sugar every time you need it to cook something.-Robbie

My point is that it all has to do with smoking pot. It should all be legal. Growing, selling, buying and smoking.
That's all I'm trying to say. The U.S. incarcerates more people than any country on the face of the Earth. A lot of it is drug related...which at it's foundation is the govt. telling you what you can and can't put in your own body.

I will never understand how anybody can want the govt. to have complete control over them and not have the freedom to make your own decisions.
I'm not gonna argue the point with you.
It's just beyond me why you would want people to be criminals for enjoying themselves. People have gotten high in different ways since the beginning of mankind. All the law does is make people into criminals. It doesn't stop anybody from doing what they choose to do.
If a person chooses to not smoke pot, that is fine with me. (I don't smoke it because it puts me to sleep) But I don't think that person or the govt. should be able to rule other people's personal decisions.

Its either the government in Washington DC, o "government" in state capital. I mean all the countries in the world has governments. States are like countries within country, and states have their own "governments".
The only difference is that these governments of states are closer to the people and better know problems and issues of that specific region. But in that case you could go even one level deeper and have "governments" of counties within state...
And why not? Most countries of the world have one government, they do not have "countries within country" and they have no problems. I mean if "countries within country" is such a good idea why don't other countries adapt this model?
