Windows nerds - couple of questions.

1: I have a few dvd players (software i mean) on my puter but they are all set to region 1...i live in europe and bought region 2 dvd's. I cant play them and none of the players wants to switch to another region.

2: When i download a mpeg or avi movie it gets downloaded by quicktime instead of wmp. How do i change that back?

3: How to clear the SE and forms i filled in cache if you know what i mean?

Cheers.

Win XP btw.

1, I think the DVD player itself is set to play only region 1 stuff, although that would be weird if its a European puter. There may be some hack or something to get round that or you can buy a region free DVD player.

2, To change what program a file/movie etc opens with you should be able to right click on the file goto properties and there should be a setting that says 'open with:' and then a change button to the right.

3, I think you are talking about the autocomplete feature. in IE goto Tools > Internet Options > Content and there is a personal information section there with an autocomplete section where you can clear form/passwords.

It sounds like you need to go into Quicktime player preferences and change the file type associations to stop it playing avis etc.
