Question: For US and Possible some of the canadians...

I went there one night when a group of friends invited me and was not impressed. At all. If I want seafood I am not getting it from some cheap chain where they brag about all you can eat for a few bucks. Only time I will do that is if a crab joint has all you can eat for like $30/person.

I try to stay away from anything with a buffet or "all-you-can-eat." The economics behind those two principles mean I am probably getting garbage food.

Lobster, crab and 20 types of ocean faring fish isn't seafood?

No it's not a upscale restaurant on the coast with Wharf in the name that sells lobsters that were in the ocean 2 hrs ago, but it's still seafood.

Ew Red Lobster. So many of my friends have come away from there with food poisoning. I prefer my seafood fresh, not buffet style.

Red Lobster in Niagara Falls is always packed - with tourists. Most locals don't eat there. Small portions...very high prices. Everything is doused with garlic butter and all tastes the same.

                  It's the K-Mart of seafood.

Red Lobster is to good seafood as olive garden is to good italian

As someone who does a lot of offshore fishing for snapper, grouper, mahi, cobia and wahoo I can tell you that aside from the mahi most of the fish they serve is scrod, cod or halibut (substituting those for snapper and grouper is all too common)

everything they serve has been frozen nothing is fresh

You wont catch me eating that shit
