Do you mean like puffy walls? Like pillow walls? I have done something similar, but with a headboard for a bed.

What I did (for the headboard concept) was buy a shitload of batting. Hot glue that shit where you need it. Then I placed the fabric I bought over the batting and staple gunned that shit down to the back of the headboard.

PROTIP: Add buttons and shit by staple gunning it down in sections and hot gluing a button.

I'm not sure if and how this would apply to you, but it was fun typing it out

Ya that is kinda what I mean. Like almost all the way to the ceiling behind bed and night stands. .

Looks pretty cool. The buttons and diamond pattern are a nice touch too

Having an upholstery shop in Europe do the bedroom wall in March. Floor to ceiling, corner to corner. It will be in several easy to remove/install sections, should I decide to mix it up with something else later.

If memory serves - they called it 'button tufting' back when everyone was customizing their shaggin' wagons.

That is an interesting video. They sure use a lot of terms like: green foam, other foams, ‘diamond’ or ‘deep button’ tufts, thread needle and upholstery thread or embroidery thread. They really can customize the thing they are doing with their hands.

These are the current ones I am considering:

Notice the top photo - the center panels are the same width as the bed,
but they are not as wide on the outside.

The preferred fabric would be some sort of vinyl / faux leather

Did you ever consider laminate flooring material, but for the walls. It install easily, and is very inexpensive. Something I am considering for the living room, offices, and hallways.
