If you get stuck with a Google DMCA removal that was in error just file a counter notice.

Coming to GFY to complain won't help, you need to follow the procedures Google has put in place.

As Dave Gorman said, even if they respond, it doesn't put back the comments, links, views, favourites or the images on the same URL

Might educate people not to use Degban. I'd say that's a good thing.

With the millions of DMCA notices that have to be filed there are sometimes mistakes made. That's just a fact of life. In the case of an affiliate site, even when reviewing sites manually it's possible to make a mistake, some affiliates don't make it very clear that the content is being used with permission or have heaps of affiliate content up with a small hard to find link, or no link at all in some cases.

Nothing in this world is perfect. Degban, or any other DMCA removal service, are not out there deliberately trying to interfere with proper authorised use of content, they're after infringing use. It doesn't matter what system you have, there's always room for error.

So the simple solution is file a counter notice and get on with life.
