We have talked with others about the idea of franchises but we have only been doing this since July (tonight will be our 20th meetup); I'd like to give it a year to see where we are at. TBH, it is tough doing it weekly; we may have to consider bi-weekly or something. Our biggest problem is finding new places that meet our requirements for beer selection that are within our grid.
I know I can find a dozen others if I expanded our range by 10 miles, but I know we would have fewer attendees (if any). I know how far people will drive on a Thursday evening at 5:30-6:00.
So, if you drink at dinner it does not count towards the drinking every day or 5 drinks a day?
1/3 of a drink may count towards 5 drinks a day. You just have to drink rest of the 4 and 2/3 of the drinks
I meant that 1/3 drink a day is nothing, especially in some parts of the world where it is traditional to drink a little with daily meals.
1/3 of a drink and 5+ drinks are 2 completely different things.

I hear ya, Boston and NYC have some killer bars if you ever do!
If its not defined most people count drinks in a similar way, something like:
glass of wine, shot of hard liquor, cocktail, bottle of beer
Pretty funny, I have a normal size smaller glass that I do hard liquor on the rocks in and I can easily fit 5 shots and ice in it so I guess that's 5 drinks in 1 glass.

Like I said - its your poll so you should have defined what a "drink" is. So do not ask what I call a drink, define what you called a drink.
And its nothing funny, if YOU think that a drink is x ml of something and you poor 5 of them into one glass then they are still 5 drinks (at least in this context where we are trying to find out how much of alcohol makes you alcoholic).

Let me explain - if this is a poll then people who vote should know +- what a "drink" is.
If you put 120ml of vodka in your big galss with ice and you call it 1 drink and another person is drinking 40ml shots and calling each of them 1 drink and you both think that 360ml of hard liquor is "alcoholic" then:
you would say "3 drinks is alcoholic"
that other person would say " 9 drinks is alcoholic"
While you both would be talking about same amount...
See why it is important to define what a drink is?
And since you did not define most people assume what is usually assumed when you try to define a "drink" (a shot, a bottle of beer, glass of wine, regular cocktail etc)
real alcoholics are the ones you see stop at the liquor store, get couple small bottles and down them right then and there, get back in the car and back to business.
or the ones who have a "roadie" with them to work, go out to the car during lunch and swig down..
the rest of us who drink a couple glasses of wine or beer with dinner, sorry not alcoholics.
