Amazing Laptop for those looking...
I got this a couple of months ago and I fucking love it (Asus N56VZ): http://www.excaliberpc.com/618216/as....6-laptop.html
I had a Dell 15z before that and hated it. This laptop is legendary. One of the few laptops with great sound too. Just put windows 8 on it and it's even better. Highly recommended laptop either way.

My brother had one of these and sold it and got a Macbook pro instead.

I just bought an Acer V3-471G with about the exact same specs....only difference I swapped out the 750gb HD for an Intel 180gb SSD - it definitely rocks
 Power button to Windows desktop takes about 11 sec. Shuts down in 5 sec.
