7 days to kill in hawaii..
thinking of going to hawaii instead from dec31 to jan 6th or so with the gf
Im getting confused planning it since i've never been there... I'd like to have as much fun as possible.. ride in a jeep.. visit different islands, etc.. cost is not a problem.. can someone recommend or tell me a 6-7 day package that will get me to different islands..

but i was thinking, go to honolulu 31st, party for new year, then stay there till 2nd, then head to maui, stay there for 2 days, then head to big island for one day, then back to honolulu..then home..

It's probably too late, but a cruise is the best way to see Hawaii
Dawn and I have been to the islands several times, but our first trip was an 11 day inter-island cruise > fly in to Honolulu so there's no days wasted on ocean crossing from U.S. or Canada, and then tour all the islands in style -- each has its own flavor. Get your Jeep on the big island (my favorite) to hit the active volcano areas  |

It was a life long dream to go to Hawaii and it was everything I hoped it would be. My wife and kid and I went last September.
We rented a jeep from National, and it came in handy a few times on the beach. We also rented a condo from VBRO which was great - nice and close to the beach. We started off with a dinner cruise, and over the next week we did Pearl Habor, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, and kayaking. For most events I booked through Hawaii Activities - their website looks crappy but they have live people at the other end that call you in the event there are problems. One of the favorite things I did was the Bishop Museum . I basically planned an event or two a day, and then we spent the rest of the time shopping or at the beach. Lots of time at the beach...

 Rent a convertible and drive the road to Hana. Most beautiful drive in the USA imo. |
