Since I'm relatively new this seems normal to me. I always put away and save when there are peaks and use that money for when there are lows.

the roller coaster effect started around 2.5-3 years ago, before then everything was pretty stable if you had 100+ sales a day, easy to predict day on day, month on month... now its a cluster fuck, you never know what you will wake up too!!

What a complete load of shit. You will never ever be able to predict sales on a day to day basis except in the broadest terms based on your existing mean and standard deviation. That's just not how statistics works. Sales have always been a rollercoaster.

Perhaps some processors scrub harder now than they have in past years, but if traffic remains stable then sales will remain stable when averaged over a meaningful period of time.
