I have no life :(
|
Golf, surf and cars for the most part. Mainly anything with a motor, currently building a couple (well three) cars. All nearly finished just takes time to make / customise and source parts, just finished shipping a trans over from the US this morning.

Well outside of work i like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kettlebell
When my body is ready i will start some training on gymnastic rings. Also i like building stills, I like Hansa history, And i like to convert things to run off 5 volts. I like developing my woodworking skills. BUt what i really love is building stuff out of junk..instrucables/hackaday. Our girls.. -Outi (anna) Doesnt really have much of a life outside of her work. It;s ALL she does. design design design, code , code code. -Ninna, Much the same. BUt she goes to the occasional salsa class. |
I've narrowed my hobbies down, a lot.
But things I still do: Build & fly radio controlled aircraft (since 1985) Bicycling Shooting Offroading, when I have time BBQ & Grilling (cant help it, I'm from Texas) SCUBA Diving Photography, I like shooting warbirds & jets, and underwater And of course, building websites. |
I drink whiskey, go to the gym, and chill....
porn also |
I'm a workaholic but that's what I enjoy. When I take time off it's to go to a restaurant and have a nice meal. I also like to go out to the big screen and relax in front of a good movie. Just saw the new James Bond and it was pretty good. Daniel Craig was definately better than that pussy Pierce Brosnan.
Probably the closest thing I have to a hobby is on a nice day to fire up one of my bikes. I have a GSXR when I want to go fast and when I want to relax and be a single guy bar hopper I take out my Harley. Girls like Harleys, right girls? |
Excellent thread.
I used to enjoy shooting. I had a Springfield XD and Browning Buckmark that I used to shoot every week. Still have a Century made Uzi carbine. Semi-auto only. 2 Nagant revolvers and a Walther P-22. Just started playing with Backtrack 5. Fun to set up a wireless network and seeing what you can do. So many tools, So little time. |

i can easily fill a novel sized book listing EVERYTHING i consider a hobby, a lot of them are covered in this thread already even! but i'll leave a few that currently have me occupied as of late.
-athletics, have played just about every sport at one point and currently training for a snowshoe race in february and the next triathlon season while trying to build some strength to hit homeruns next year. -cooking, everything about it I love. Try to cook something new and exciting at least once a day, I'll even bring stuff in to cook here at the office during lunch every now and then. -blacksmithing, have just about everything ready for my shop, just need to get on some simple projects to get my feet wet. -nutrition, i am constantly reading up on new things and I have for years so have a multitude of information locked in the skull, which goes along nicely with the cooking hobby, keeps ideas fresh. -Dogs. This is more my girl friends hobby but I'm around shows and trainers so much these days its hard not to consider it a hobby of my own as well and I do find it interesting. We have 2 yellow labs and a curly coated retriever who is now strong enough to pull me over when we play tug of war! |
I eat trolls
|
Hiking, I try and do a 15-20 mile trek once a week.
Foraging.. the amount of free food up here in the mountains is crazy.. mushroom season atm and I've collected kilos of them. Vegetable gardening, apart from bananas I pretty much grow all my own veg. Anything outside really, try to be outside 4 hours a day in the mornings and work the afternoons evenings. I do love to cook as well. Quote:

Construction works over the new home I'm about to move soon with the family. Getting out with family friends - if there's someone to take care of the kids.... Reading books, Watching Travel Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery. Making plans of the future.... |
I like to build paper mache versions of superheroes, life-size, in my backyard and play with them when no one on the Internet is nice to me.

I do have a hand crank blower forge finally though, can't wait to get that rigged up. |
I've recently gotten back into being active. For a couple years there, my down time was spent with sluts and alcohol... not that it was so bad... but...
I'm going to do the Tough Mudder in April, currently doing all of my old wrestling work outs + rolling/sparring as much as possible.... boy was I out of shape, ha. My German Shepherd, GF, and I also take him to training 2-3x/week for SAR/protection stuff. Our trainer is the National Director for the German Shepherd Working Dog Association. Dude's a genius. My dog's mainly my pet, but I don't want to waste his potential/blood lines(for those familiar, he has a CRAZY high prey drive and comes from a long line of Sch 3's). I help out at the kennel while I'm there.. some of our dogs are out of this world. We have a couple pups who are apart of SF teams(I say pups because that's the last time I saw 'em :P). I was basically just working and partying for 3 years and found that I was incredibly burnt out on everything, including work(which is... dumb, because I'm a workaholic). Now that I've changed things up, back to being a workaholic without the hangovers. |

Motorcycle trips, the one below is the only one I've documented online to an extent. Traveled over 50k on motorcycles.
8000 miles on a honda Rebel 250 That thread has over 100k views and has inspired 10+ people to contact me and do rebel or low cc travels across the states. Many get the ambition but only 1-2 seemed to follow through. Funny thing is a Honda Rebel is only 233cc, labeled 250 to be highway legal in all states. I didn't have sex on my trip though there were several chances. Being careful results in safety, but without risk there is little or no reward. I should have fucked the Guatemalan! Or at least jerked off in front of her. :1orglaugh That was a very weird situation, can't figure out what she was running from or if she was temporarily homeless. |

German Sheppard are good dogs. Protect you with their lives thats for sure. Yep 3 years in this biz can wear you down and before you know it, you've spent years staring into the screen. Hopefully something to show for that. Quote:
Nice to hear good things about BusinesNBeer.com. Gotta get over there one of these times :2 cents: Quote:
