Listen man. As a guy that resides in the Tampa Bay area, STAY AWAY from Polk County. There is no gray area for them what so ever, and the top dog Sheriff there will go to whatever lengths possible to get your ass locked up.

I still think it's harder to get prosecuted if you're not shipping there. I know for a fact nothing I'm selling is by today standard Obscene much tamer than would come up in a google search. I agree. But Joe's article is making me think twice. If he is right, then if you are in LA and you are shipping to Chicago, the FEDS can prosecute in any jurisdiction they choose in the travel path of the product. That's kinda fucked.
We sell DVDs. Never had a problem, knock on wood, but content is much tamer than past and we avoid the max hardcore stuff like the plague.Comment

Kinda the wrong business to be in. Between obscenity laws and 2257 record keeping laws any of us could find ourselves in jail at any time (for the obscenity, my 2257 is fine). Luckily this administration isn't very interested in obscenity charges. There have been people popped, but not a full on assault on the entire business. What's obscenity? The prosecutor doesn't know and either do you. No one knows except for the 12 jurors in your case.
