Fair point, so I will expand - Although I am from the UK, I lived in the US for about 9 years - Mostly in the LA area. I lived for a few years in 3 different neighbourhoods.

Ranging from downtown LA near Compton, and also in Woodland Hills, and I also spent a year in Thousand Oaks, so I have a broad experience of different areas of LA.

I moved to San Diego, for the last two years of my time in the USA, but being a visa overstay (I liked it so much I simply just didn't go home) this was probably not the best choice of location for me, as the place I was that was raided, looking for illegal mexican workers... And ICE picked me up in the net...

Consequently, I was deported, but before they sent me back, I spent 6 and a half months, in jail, with MOSTLY Mexican companions.

During that time I learnt to understand spanish (But not speak it) and I was exposed to a great deal of mexican culture, from the general attitudes that they face from society, and the TV shows that they watch etc etc...

In general, I felt that they were really nice people.

Fast Forward to last night - I was watching Americas Next Top Model on tv, and they had a photo-shoot with mexicans in low rider cars, with the suspension that bounces up and down, and it brought back some nice memories.

I then had a vivid dream (I'm being 100% honest here) that I woke up as normal, but I had become a mexican. Those who new me, recognised me, but for all intents and purposes, any one who didn't know me - Saw me as 100% mexican.

TBH, it wasn't really that much of an unpleasant experience, but when I awoke this morning (and made this post) the extremely vivid dream was still very much in my mind.

And that set me wondering - If 'YOU' had to choose another race... Which would it be?

Sorry for the long explanation, but hopefully it explains why I was thinking it, and that it wasn't an attempt at humour re the mexicans.
