Haven't tried anything besides Mail itself. Been running that since forever. Is there a big advantage to switching over to something else? I'll have to research.
yeh mail.app for me for the past few years, have about 6 email accounts, i noticed u said outlook and i may give that a try as i use outlook for work, pretty handy with calandar and other tools. thanks for the suggestion
I switched fulltime to Mac last fall and thought about these same questions. I had always been a Outlook user, but wanted to change that. Sparrow looked really good with the best 3rd party reviews but all my mac friends said just use mail.app to start with and try it out even it it is a system application and I love it, works great.
(Plus it works sooooooo f'in perfectly with timemachine so if something really messes up, getting everything replaced right back is a breeze. Try doing that with Outlook)
When I first got a Mac, I used Outlook for Mac because it's what I used on Windows previously, but I got tired of trying to get my contacts, calendar, etc to sync over my Iphone, Ipad, etc so I finally bit the bullet and started using the built in Mac mail.app and haven't looked back!
