Owned iPhone 3, 3s, 4, 4s and only problem I've had is a sticky home button. Dropped the phones casually 100+ times in normal use. Don't do stupid shit like trying to open beers with it, run over it with a car, see how high I can throw it, submerge it in liquid, leave it in a boiling hot car, put it in the freezer, etc.
Not really a fan of other Apple toys but the iPhones have always been solid for me. Almost never crashes and a good piece of hardware. It's turned into the piece of electronic equipment I use the most of anything. If it wasn't would move on to a different phone.
