The reason it doesn't stop people smoking (like me) is because I haven't kicked my drug addiction to nicotine yet. Pretty simple.

Unless you're addicted to a certain food (which I don't believe myself, but could be true.) then these kind of warnings will actually work for food.

Not only that, if someone's products are full of added calories, excess fat, salt, etc. then a company getting these labels thrown on their products will soon change their methods and recipes.

Marketing really does work if you saw those types of messages consistently for an extended period of time it would have an effect on everyone.

No, I choose what I eat, although warnings can be put on so many foods.

It is nice to read these warnings and prevention ideas. Meditations can include thoughts about improving health. People just don’t know everything about what is good for health. Some people just keep smoking of eating junk food. What is going to happen – often unpredictable. Sometimes life just seems unbearable – some people die from completely unexpected accidents.

If they cause obesity or/and health problems. Simply tax them to cover the extra costs. Then when you're 300 pound, your health care costs are covered. And the rest of us don't have to pay for your indulgences.

But I think its true to say that if you put a huge tax hike on junk food it would cut peoples consumptions down. Dought it would ever happen though because of the revenues which would be lost

O(ur children are now a huge market and target for companies. This gives them an "I want" attitude. Maybe that's part of the reason they grow up to adults thinking they can have what ever they want without paying or working for it. Not the only reason, just part.

If consumption of MacDonalds causes health problems, let the burger eaters pay for it. In the UK it's partially covered with our Health System, in the US it should be dumped on the companies producing the crap food, same with cigarettes, gas, etc. The damager pays for his damage.
