    Republican Dream Candidate

It's obvious that Republicans are not thrilled with Romney as a candidate. I understand many like him 'more than Obama' but that really isn't saying much. So, if you could pick and choose anyone you want to be the Republican candidate who would it be? Keep in mind, you want it to be someone who could beat Obama in the general election.....

I'm curious which names will be mentioned.

If it were up to me the GOP would have ran Mike Bloomberg and I would have voted for him.

Your dream nominee would be who?

Me too. I would vote for just about anyone running against him. He is a liar who knows more about bankrupting businesses and his partners than building anything.

        Nobody else?

Ron Paul was clearly the best candidate... longtime consistent record, military veteran, always tells the truth, I could go on and on...

But Republicans are too fucking stupid, brainwashed, and artificial so they pick a guy like Romney... that's why their "team" is going to lose again this time around...

Jeb would be a very tough sell in a general election after George and GW. Rubio clearly opted out this time around and either got snubbed for the VP nomination for some reason or didn't want to be on a Romney ticket. Immediately after his time in the Bush Administration as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Thompson was an adviser with two health insurance company lobbying firms. Of the three Rubio would be the best bet, unless they uncovered something while vetting him as a VP nominee.

Anyone else? A dream candidate... maybe a name not heard before?

I agree. Ron Paul would have been good, and if he would have won, I would have said Good for Paul. I don't agree with everything he has to say but at least he didn't flip-flop like Willard does.
