Mobile phones have always been a very personal device. If a potential customer wants to keep their activities to themselves using a mobile is a safer place to do it. Especially in cases where PCs/Tablets at home are used by the whole family. When you get the erge and you have a device that can offer porn anytime of the day or night no matter where you are then impulse is of course a large part of any mobile purchase.
If you look at the amount of companies that are now putting real effort into their mobile offerings I think it's pretty obvious that people do consume porn on their mobiles. Then take a look at the amount of mobile affiliate programs that have grown at a rapid rate in the last few years and it's even more clear that there is money in mobile porn.
The big issue is the billing especially in the EU where the credit card is used a whole lot less than in the US. This will remain an issue for the foreseeable future as the carriers take so long to payout and want such a large cut for being in your value chain. Then you throw the regulators in the mix and you have a much larger list of risks to consider.
In short Smartphones these days are pretty much mini PCs the potential to earn big is there but the mobile ecosystem moves at a rapid pace so staying on top of it is not easy... but it is possible with the right resources at you disposal

For our cam site I can tell the guys sign up more on PC and mostly watch naked shows on PC eventualy in fullscreen on a 50" tv. However, when they are on the move, they still login to chat and say hello to some girl. At times they're in public place so they do not click the "play" on the live video so people around don't see pussy, and only chat. In fact a small screen it is not best to see porn. Top Bucks had me all excited about it and I pushed it and pushed it...nothing. Nada.
I've had affiliate reps try to tell me it's kicking ass, etc.
But as I said, I've never had a single sale from it as an affiliate.

I rarely see ANY of our members go into the mobile members area. Mainly because the "normal" members area has so many cool features that the mobile version can't have. Almost 100% of that traffic is the tour. Again, my experience from what I see in my stats and in real life is that people use mobile to show something cool to their buddies. It's a great marketing tool to get signups for when they go home and get on a real machine or tablet and THEN sign up.
Not so good for affiliates of course...because you can't cookie a guy from his phone to his PC. lol-Robbie

IMHO, when I click on your **Join** from my phone I get a normal web page sign up form with tiny little boxes and a ton of info to fill in. I'd guess that is where a lot of people might give up. If you are getting no sales, then go for a big easy to enter email box and say "send me the sign up details" better than nothing
