Right and from what I read from this distance, there are hints at other people. I bet those that were abused were fed up of not being in a position to believed for a lot longer than people are fed up of hearing about it now.

I reckon he was abused by his father. One of his brothers committed sex offences too, so clearly it ran in the family. Savile worshipped his mother but never mentioned his father.
