I like bacon flavor things like chips and stuff, and I like a lil bit of bacon in a burger or wrap...

But I couldn't eat a rasher of bacon, like as part of a breakfast...

So I vote NO...

I used to absolutely LOVE bacon, now I dont mind with with other stuff, like currentlysober said on a burger etc.. as I have gotten older it has become just too salty for my taste buds

I started getting mine from the butcher and will never go back to that packaged garbage again. it's perfect, you buy as much or as little as you want (sometimes i'm just making a breakfast for just me so don't need a pound of it!) Plus you can get it in one big piece and slice it as thick as you want.

Yesterday i had breakfast for dinner after a serious leg workout. 4 eggs over easy, 4 1/8 inch thick sliced double smoked bacon cooked with a little tomato and a caprese salad. Not bad for a 10 minute meal ;)

I agree, surprisingly the butcher bacon is about the same price per lb as the store bought. A friend started raising his own pigs, among other animals, for meat and we've had the luxury of being the recipient of a few lbs of the home raised bacon. It even blows the butcher bacon away. After having good bacon, its difficult to go back to the supermarket variety.

I think next year I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and raise a couple of pigs.

It's tasty, but I gave it up years ago. It's not healthy at all...and I think it's wrong to kill the pigs. They're very smart, social creatures. I just don't like the thought of it - enough that it spoils any enjoyment I might get out of it.
