A mosque at ground zero?!

What's your opinion about building a mosque at ground zero in new york?

If you ask me I think it's insane.

Do you talk much about it in the U.S. ?

I read a funny how-to comment onthepetitionsite.com, not sure if true.

In Sevilla Spain, local people found a way to stop the construction of another mosque in their town. They buried a pig on the site, and made sure this would be known by the local press. The Islamic rules forbid the erecting of a Mosque on "pig soiled ground." The Muslims had to cancel the project. This land was sold to them by government officials. No protests were needed by the local people...and it worked!

Ummmmm, i dunno......

Its like they are saying yes Muslims blew up the place and to prove that they are not scared of any consequences to the wider Muslim law abiding citizens that they will just build a mosque at the same place to make.

In other words it could be a symbol from the mainstream Muslim community to say that bad muslims did something but we should not pay the price for what they did.

On the otherhand it could also be a symbol of yes we did it and we agree with the hardcore Muslims and take this in your face too!

Doesn't sound right to me. Being only slightly familiar with the Qur'an even I know Muhammad was the last prophet and there will never be another. In fact the very last prophet will be Muhammad when he returns for the end of days.

I didn't even know that the Qur'an had a messiah figure. I thought that was Judaism/Christianity.
