Clearly a win for Obama.

Redrob 10-16-2012 07:52 PM

I thing Obama came out on top; but, whether it is enough to sway the undecideds, I don't know.

I basically felt it was pretty much a draw too. I didn't learn anything new from either one of them. Both were able to make pretty good campaign speeches and that is about it.

Oil is a huge part of our national security. No oil, the military machine comes screaming to a halt. This has been a the foundation of our country's security since the end of WWII.

Doesn't it make sense that we should encourage oil production on private land, and not so much on Federal land? That land does not belong to the oil companies - it belongs to me, to us, and the taxpayers.

It's just common sense that we should be exploiting our federal land last?

Also, the oil production drop is only for the last year of stats and is mostly because of the Deep Horizon oil spill accident that shut down oil production.

Romney looked very sweaty and nervous in my opinion.

VIXEN ESCORTS 10-16-2012 07:54 PM

Is that what usually happens ? Walking about nervously with a mic, like you're about to go on the X factor stage ? Seemed a bit random and to favour Romney Marsh

But a draw for Obama is a loss for Obama.

I missed moments here and there ...

What was Romney's answer on how he will be different than Bush?

I missed it because I was cooking dinner. I know Mitt thinks that is a woman's job...

The first 3 years of the Obama administration vs. the prior 3 years:
Off shore permits down 62%, On shore permits down 33%.

Gas prices up over 100%.

Surely that has nothing to do with the 2010 BP oil spill or anything.

If this would have been a boxing match Obama would have knocked Romney to the mat twice but I don't know if he would have had the knock out.

Where was your woman?

Mutt 10-16-2012 08:16 PM

Obama had a better performance than the first debate, Romney did fine - pretty much a draw. Nobody really watches these for the substance, everybody who follows the race knows what each are going to say and where they stand - we watch like it's a boxing match or American idol, entertainment and water cooler/internet forum discussion fodder.

It's much easier for the candidate who isn't the incumbent, he has a record to attack and with Obama having a less than stellar 4 years, some not of his own doing, even easier for Romney and harder for Obama.

What pisses me off is the truth is we can drill all we want but unless the gov is taking over the oil industry, it's all traded on the open market.

I had to think about how to handle it too...but the Xbox (which he is playing) made it sound so butch.

If he was dying his I would have handled it differently.
