I vote for Namecheap

Yeah, they send out emails months before the expiry date and they even hold the domain for some period of time when it expires and you can renew it.

Godaddy are not good people, best avoid :2 cents:

I had this problem the ass hat renewed the domain i was talking to phone support for 10 years they gave me a refund but dropped the domain

This happened to me also.,

they charged me fucking 15.?? bucks for auto renew only for 1 .com domain.

i contacted them via email and told them "politely" it was my mistake that i forgot to change from "auto renew" to "manual renewal".
and asked them to please refund me the funds.

few minutes later i got email from them,

telling me they cant refund funds to my card but they can make available those funds for future purchases at godaddy .

after you can renew those domains with coupon code.

you must learn in 8 years to stop manual renew because this happens with services living from "upgrades"

So I hunted down promo code gdbbren8 and called GoDaddy.

They used the code and credited $48.86 off the $161.57

That brought the cost of each renewal from $13.01 to $8.67 out the door :thumbsup

About 10 years ago, I did a chargeback on them. They charged me 4 times for a dedicated server. Around $600. I tried talking to support, emailing, etc. I just kept getting the runaround. I was just getting started so I did lose the domain but I didn't care. Well, I did but it wasn't a huge loss considering the amount of money.

So you took the time to contact them for $15, requesting a refund, because you lost about $7 you would save with the coupon? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh Are you for real? :1orglaugh Seriously.. ? :1orglaugh LOL

Finally how much time you spent on GFY, holding the line with Godaddy, hunting promo code etc....?
