    ...certainly performed better than President Obama did in his debate...although I found the laughter a bit overdone.

                      I believe the next debate will be mostly on foreign policy. So far all Romney has done is look like an ass every time he talks about foreign affairs or meets with other country's leaders. Until the last few months Obama had been considered to be very strong in this area so I think he will do a lot better and he won't be taking Romney lightly.

                      If Obama loses again he will be in real danger of losing the election.

                                  Romney has changed positions on a number of issues. His last attempt to move to the middle on abortion may cost him some of the more hard core of right to lifers.
                                  If he held the same positions that he held when he ran for governor of Mass. I could support him but he has sold his soul to the far right

                                      I think Romney, obviously, moved to the right in the primaries and the early part of the general election campaign to gain the trust of the religious right base of the party. I think now he feels like they will vote for him no matter what because they hate Obama so he is moving more to middle in an effort to get more moderate independents.

                                      I think, like you, his current statements about abortion and some of his newest positions could cost him votes from the base. They likely won't vote for Obama, but they won't vote Romney either. They will either pick a third party candidate or they will just not vote. If that happens he is doomed.
