    It was a good day to be an American

    Today was day one of two for feed the children. We are using our new plant to prepare and ship over 1/2 million meals to children in Haiti. We set tables up to assemble the meals this morning for 200 volunteers. By noon we had to set up 15 more tables. and had over 75 more people than we had planned for.

    All ages and walks of life. The volunteers are working until 8 tonight and will start again at 9 tomorrow morning. Even in this economy, people reached into their pocketbooks and volunteered their time for children they will never meet.

    Made me proud to be a part of it.

                      That is impressive. Was it all donated food or did you guys do fundraisers and buy it?

                          A group of local business people bought the food and the volunteers are packaging. We had two well packed 53' trailers of food delivered yesterday.

                                      Very nice. Congrats! Sounds like it was a good group effort and it is always nice to see that people will still turn out for a good cause.
