I propose a voluntary verification system that then includes your status somewhere in your profile i.e. verified webmaster = has websites with traffic, knowledgable webmaster = 50 sites + or a certain traffic volume, etc

Verification is voluntary and can be done by a trusted 3rd party such as the GFY Friendship Club.
