    Fucking Newbies

    I used to help newbies out a whole bunch, for certain reasons I kind of stopped. But every now and then I cannot resist the urge and I try again only to be reminded as to why I stopped in the beginning.

    Some things I just seem to have to learn over and over and over and over and over and ...

                                      I'm a newbie. Been doing it for a long time and still learn every day. But for all the seasoned gurus and veterans, I found a very interesting post that you should all read:

                                      I know I shouldn't be cross-posting from another board but this is one of the most interesting posts concerning our attitudes towards newbies and what we can be doing to help.

                                              I like answering tech questions, even if they're dumb..

                                              But then newbs that I help on the board start emailing me about everything and I can't keep up with 200+ emails/day. Especially since my email f-ed up for a couple weeks and I'm still catching up and I feel like an asshole when I don't reply to someone..


                                              Also, no matter how much I or anyone else tells a newb, everyone is different and needs to individually think for themselves.

                                                      But a noob needs to do their own work, needs to listen to the answer and attempt to understand at least.

                                                              As I tried and tried to explain to you. First you have to decide if you want your letters to be saturated or unsaturated. Once you have decided that then you use either the <butter></butter> or the <margarine></margarine> tags. Where butter is for saturated and the margarine is for unsaturated. Within the tag you can use either the depracated width="NNpx" property oryou can use css to assign it a width in pixels as to how fat it will grow.

                                                              Remember this only works in caffeinated html. For decaf versions you need to look up the syntax but nobody codes for decaf even though a whole lot of people say we better start using it because they are gonna force it down our throats.

                                                              Also, keep in mind that this only works on sites coded in USAhtml. Europeans don't allow their fonts to get fat.

                                                              That is the last fucking time I am explaining that man. Fuck, you would think you were from Kentucky or something.

                                                                                  You have to remember that newbie may grow up someday to be a great contact to have in this industry. I will admit 95% seem to fail but it's a good feeling when someone successfull tells you that they couldn't have made it without the help you gave them when they were newbies. It just doesn't happen often enough.

                                                                                                  If you are a newbie the last place you should be is WarriorForum. The collective IQ there is pathetic. It's even worse than DigitalPoint.

                                                                                                  They have a hotshot mod on WarriorForum that everyone worships, but a hater made WarriorForumSucks.com and exposed how this guy lives in a ghetto. Funny stuff...

The guy who created the thread that you linked to was complaining about how his brother makes a lot of money online, but he can't make anything (I'm certain this is the same guy). This was like a month ago and now he's making threads outlining why newbies can't make money online. See, the forum is just stupid like that.

I read a lot trying to cull good info out of all the bullshit politicing that goes on. I don't care about the background or who lives where or who did what. Good info is good info no matter where it comes from. I could say the same about GFY with all the bickering that goes on but I don't care about that either. I'm here to learn and better my trade.

                                                                                                                                              I agree. Helping "newbs" has often given my jaded-old-self a new outlook, and many new ideas.

                                                                                                                                              On the other hand, answer repetitive questions from people who won't do the work can be quite annoying...

First you have to decide if you want your letters to be saturated or unsaturated. Once you have decided that then you use either the <butter></butter> or the <margarine></margarine> tags. Where butter is for saturated and the margarine is for unsaturated. Within the tag you can use either the depracated width="NNpx" property oryou can use css to assign it a width in pixels as to how fat it will grow.

For decaf versions you need to look up the syntax but nobody codes for decaf even though a whole lot of people say we better start using it because they are gonna force it down our throats.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Also, keep in mind that this only works on sites coded in USAhtml. Europeans don't allow their fonts to get fat.
