That's great and all, but is anybody broadcasting in that resolution or do they just stretch out the 1080p?

That is crazy! I can't believe that amazing price.

I don't know if there is any 4K content out there yet myself..

        PS4 will support 4K Videos/Pictures but not 4K games
Might be a great combo for that fancy new TV

          720p 1 million pixels
          1080p 2 million pixels
          2160p 4 million pixels = 4k

            Yeah, um, No.....

There's no content for 4k yet. Nothing on Satellite, nothing on cable. Bluray is only 1024 lines. Next it's still a non-standard format. Plus people just went crazy buying 3D TV's. If you watch a 4K TV with standard HD content you will be seeing an up-coversion which is basically zoomed images & pixel doubling. Yuck. Give it a few years...

Sky in the UK only broadcast 1080i so unless you're watching Blu-ray all the time you might as well just have a 720p TV

                I'd rather have a 65 inch 1080p set.

...and the majority of TV broadcasts don't even support 1080p, except PBS and a few others. Even Blu rays are only 1080p. Why adopt so early?

Would make for a nice monitor for your RED camera and a few others, but right now that's not a lot of people.

                    Spend you some brain.

Sony is supposedly going to launch a 4K video source sometime after the PS4 comes out, and they have said that movies would be expected to be 100GB+ each.. OUCH!

I always saw blocks and pixelation like shit in all "1080p" satellite and cable pictures on HD televisions before I knew a little about them.. then I found out it's because cable and satellite shit is compressed straight to hell.
