Apparently, they have changed the movie around a ton. Still, I have high hopes. The trailor looks cool enough for me.

League of Extraordianary Gentlemen rocks! Alan Moore really did his research when writing this comic. Hopefully the movie is half as good. I think they made way too many changes but what do you expect from Hollywood?

I had the luck of talking to Sean Connery the day he decided to take the role of Alan Quartermain. I was already a huge fan of the comic and hearing the new personally from him was kickass.

Hopefully they get the SpecialFX right for the Nautilus and for Mr. Hyde. If those blow then it is going to leave a gaping hole in the movie. Too bad they didn't have Connery's Alan Quartermain play the Opium addicted pathetic waste he was in the first volume of the comic. Looks like they took the safe route and made him the cool, commanding leader that he usually plays. Also not sure why they made Mina Murray (Jonathan Harker's wife from Dracula) into an uberbabe Vampire chick. In the book she was ashamed of her Vampire blood and tried to hide it. In the trailer it looks like they went the opposite and made her "cool". Gotta please the masses.. SIGH.. At least Nemo looks true to his character in the comic. Too bad they couldn't use the Invisible Man's name because of a dispute with the owners of the book rights.
They added Oscar Wilde's Immortal character Dorian Gray. In the comic he was a former League member so I guess that is justifiable. They also added a grown Tom Sawyer who is now a gunslinger and adventurer. Might be a decent addition, plus what is Tom Sawyer without Huck Finn (won't say any more because I don't want to give away the surprise bad guy)?
Let's hope this movie is better than Connery's last genre film The Avengers. That flick was a steaming pile of crap.
BTW.. anyone read the latest volume of LOEG? Has the team in the middle of events from H.G. Welles War of the Worlds. Pretty cool stuff
