There are a lot of people getting fucked by check processors.
If someone signs up with a NSF check, there are penalties that the person signing up has to pay. Does the processor get these NSF fees? If so, shouldn't they split it with the site that got toasted on bandwidth because of the fraudulent signup?

Seems to me that the check processors have nothing to lose...if the check bounces, NSF, etc. they get the NSF fee the bank charges and the affiliate/site owner loses whilst the checking processor gains money? Am I missing something here?

Problem is the bank account isnt real.

Exactly, with bank accounts being only 7-9 digits (in Canada at least), it's not very hard to create a fake account number. I don't even think checks should be allowed to cashed over the net that easily, let alone a proof of 18+ since you can get a checking account when your a minor.

Ahhhh, I see. We have never had problems with fraud checks, but 1-900, fuck me....Most of the 1-900 signups we got of late were pure fraud.....First time I saw it....EXPLOIT!

Honest to God, I have never had any checks come back. Not yet anyways.....1-900 has been a bitch to us, though. I stopped it....
