the model x is interesting. at first i thought, not sure. but then i sort of get it. it would be good as a mini van with the seats down. if your making deliveries i could see it as a good buy.

it would be good in the uk, as if you go in the countryside 4x4 is very usfull.

that vid is very interesting.

at first i thought, not sure if i like the doors, but then i thought it would make putting things in and out easer.

its interesting they work with honda and a few other firms too.

"usfull"?

You also misused an apostrophe and failed to capitalize the first word of many of your sentences.

For one who "thinks" a lot, you certainly have difficulty with the language and communicating properly.

Whatever did you do with your old school tie?

i am dyslexic, so what?

is that what you do when you loose an argument, resort to silly insults?

i make no bones about it that most 7 year olds can spell better than me.

i also have a steel rod in my leg and my arm has a steel bolt in it, so feel free to point that out if it boosts your ego.

also i need glasses. so feel free to call me a specky 4 eyes.

And what good does this stratospherically priced automobile do for the general public?

Yet another fake nick. Joy. Not my fault you can't afford a $50k car.

The average C Class MB costs $40k in the US. Considering there is only a $10k difference for the lower priced Tesla and then factor in that you'll never ever pay $4 for a gallon of gas.... Seems to me like it's fucking brilliant.

Figure your house is on solar and the charging stations are on solar, and poof you'll never pay to travel again.

265 miles is just the starting point. Five years from it will be 500 miles.

Why are people so negative?

Somebody in this thread clearly does not understand how supply & demand works.

By the way, my "other car" really is a Rolls Royce. A very nice '71 Shadow LWB with an Everflex top, Continentals, an Edelbrock fuel injection conversion, low miles and if you have to ask about the fuel economy, you don't need to know and couldn't afford it anyway. No pix though as pix are already posted to a few places on the net and I don't need anyone using an image search program to try to find my real identity. I paid less than $9K for the Roller and spent around $7K on updates and maintainence so I'm in it pretty good.

I also have a '91 GMC one ton dually four-door with a 454 which gets 10 mpg but I use it so little that I don't care. Paid less than $2K for it and it is rust free.

My regular driver is a full size car which averages about 20 mpg in town and 26-28 on the highway. Less than $3K because I bought it right.

Suffer fools.

Damn, man!

You ARE fucked up!

I got that dyslexia thing going myself so don't take it personally.

'The fuck happened to you?

Wreck you electric car?

:)

Oh.

Tha should be "lose" not "loose".

"Loose" is what your asshole gets when your boyfriend fucks you too much.

There is NO way that with a $50,000.00-$97,000.00 cost of an electric car that fuel costs would EVER justify the purchase price, especially with only SIX charging stations in the USA.

Just for grins, I called my bank to find out if it would finance a Tesla.

Nope.

Not on a bet.

If the car was repossessed in my area, who would buy it with only SIX charging stations in the whole fucking country, NONE of which are in the area?

Smoke and mirrors.

You are missing the point. You can still charge your car at home. Superchargers just do it alot faster than home connections.

There is also a great business model here. Highway gas stations can add super chargers to their stations for only a few thousand dollars. No underground gas tank needed. Chargers will need distributors, technicians, etc.

There are already 2 super charging stations in Montreal that I have seen, with over 100 coming to Montreal soon. And I've seen 4 Chevy Volt's and 3 Tesla's on the road here.

Electric cars are coming. They're fast, sleek and cool as fucking hell (except for the god-awful Nissan Leaf). Tesla, Chevy, BMW, and now Ford (Ford Focus Electric). Even the Quebec Government (idiots, usually) give you $7000+ to buy an electric car.

I'm getting a boner.

I remember back in like 1977 buying a John Player Special Europa for around $2500.00 USD because he top leaked and had filled the footwells with water. The owner let it sit that way for several months and it smelled like shit. Pulled the seats and all the carpet, had them redone, disinfected the car and drove it for several years. Geting in and out of it was quite a job as Europas fit a guy my size like a very tight glove.

The only way I could get out of our Europa was to crawl out onto the floor and then stand up afterwards. Not exactly graceful :1orglaugh

Plans are also afoot to tax drivers by mileage driven so the whole "no fuel tax" thing is on the verge of death.

England:
Area - 50,346 sq. mi.
Population - 51,446,000

USA:
Area - 3,794,101 sq. mi.
Population - 312,560,000

USA has just over 75 times more area than England and 6 times the population.

Very few people commute 2 states over. Most people will not drive over an hour to get to work. This car might not be for you but it is practical for a lot of people. Especially in a two car family.

You serious man? Dollar to Pound hasn't been 2:1 for 3+ years now.
$49,000 is £30,327 at current market rates.

When was the last time you cashed a USD check or received a USD wire? Your bank is screwing you.

Nissan leaf costs around £30 with a range of 100 miles. So next to that this car is a decent price.

LOL.

The narcissism in this place is priceless.

Nobody cares who any of you are. The stupid teenage "nicknames" you've all made up are protecting your "identity" in your own minds.

Real people in this industry identify who they are and they do real business together.

Your "identity" :1orglaugh
What...are you Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne? Grow up y'all.
