I think it's racist to 'see no color'. How can we challenge oppression based on race if we pretend that race doesn't exist as a social reality?
nerd moment, the reason why people who are part Black are deemed 'Black' is because back when Black people were considered property in the eyes of the law, it benefitted the lawmakers/white society to construct as many people as Black as was possible. The more Black people there were, the more free labor white people had access to. The opposite happened with Native peoples. Since being 'officially' Native meant that one would have access to treaty rights/membership in communities where land claims were partially based on population, it benefitted the lawmakers/white society to construct as few Native people as possible as..well, Native. Thus, a half white, half Native person was deemed legally 'non-(status) Native'. A half white, half Black person was deemed Black. A half Native, half Black person was deemed Black. Blood quantum laws weren't arbitrary.

Something like 95% of blacks vote Democrat no matter what, probably goes up around 99% when the candidate is black (or half black at least lol).
They don't even have to be campaigned to, their vote is a lock every single time.
