Here in LA, rates for performers have fallen a bit over the last five years. They'll fall even more when the mandatory condom law, which is on the ballot in LA County this November, passes and is subsequently enforced.

Girls were never paid $2500 for a single scene. For B/G sex scenes the industry standard in LA was $800, for years, then agents pushed it to $1000 and now with production on the decline the price has dropped like Marco said.

Alscan did and still does pay $2500 or $3000 per shoot but it might be a 2 day shoot - i forget and they pay a premium to get girls to do things they don't regularly do, it's not your standard shoot.

Some DVD producers would pay a premium for a girl's first and hopefully only hardcore scene. Maybe some still do.

Rates in Vegas are what they were in 2003 for the most part. It all depends on the situation.
