    Anyone from Spain, Alicante area?

    Anyone living in Spain, Alicante area or neighbouring cities?

    Would like to know what are the options/costs for getting broadband Internet in this area.
    Fiber optics preferred with at least 20Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed.

    Other inputs from across Spain regarding Internet speeds and providers are highly welcomed. Thanks!

      I would say its impossible to get the 20mbps in that area, most people are on 1-3mbps. You get faster speeds with 3G dongles. Most use dishes, I guess they use this:

          Not impossible at all.

          ono.es up to 50mb, great service, they sent a tech within 15 minutes once, I was shocked.
          You just need to check the area has it, pretty much all of alicante city has.

          I wish I could still get them, but I've moved to the middle of nowhere so have to rely on telefonica.

          They also have tech support in English.

                  We're south of Alicante, north Murcia. We have 10 down & 1 up, not like the British 60 down & 40 up we used to get but it does good

                      Porntube is based there so i am gonna guess how they have good connections there as you cant run tube without having a good connection.

                          You are pretty limited - A lot of the ExPats use a wireless setup that is fairly local and run by small companies, they are not bad and can offer English TV and phone packages at fairly good prices...

                          If you are south of Elche then have a look on here - Torrevieja - Lots of advice on in their forums for that sort of thing.....

                                  i have been living there, but have been using the prepaid mobile, or wifi on the hotel ... so, cannot help here, but enjoy there for sure!
