Another vote for Samsung S3
BTW: What Starbucks sells is anything but coffee |
tHE NEW IHPONE HAS no NEW FEATURES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LOOK EVEN worth BUYING THE iphone 5 for. Oops caps. I am looking at the samsung galaxy III
|
Pretty happy with my 4S and now I have some cool accessories for it that wont work with the 5, so I wont be upgrading anytime soon.

I'll stick with my 4S for a while. It will feel like a new phone anyway once they release iOS 6. I'm looking forward to the new features. They really just played (barely) some catch-up with the hardware. Where they innovated was the OS. I wouldn't really say it's a big disappointment since I just upgraded to the 4S in June; at least now I don't feel like I missed out on another revolutionary device. The 4S is still a very capable piece of technology. |
meh its faster. i like the iphone cause of the apps.
|
I never expected anything from Apple, so I never been disappointed(or excited) with their products...
|
Hows the battery on S3 compared to 4S?
|
I'll stick with the 4S for a few months to wait for any bugs to be reported/fixed then I'll grab a 5 :thumbsup
|
The major thing keeping me from switching is that BMW / Mercedes / Porsche / Ferrari do not have any interface for music with a droid device......
I play all my music via my iPhone in my cars.... Otherwise, I do wanna get a Galaxy S3 |
I think apple is in a bit of a jam because their iphone/ios ecosystem is so large and affects so many people and companies that they can't "re-invent" a new phone. They have to keep upgrading. That's going to be a huge competitive disadvantage.
The SG3 is looking real good after today I think. |

my droid synchs up perfectly with my vehicle in either way, streaming bluetooth, or better yet just plug into the usb and play through that, or download it all to the harddrive and of course the bluetooth works perfectly with the phone |

The difference in speed between 3G and 4g Ite is similar to going from dial up to adsl I was going to go with the S3 but since it had no real keyboard I decided to get the iPhone 5 when it's out since iOS 6 will integrate 100% better into my iPad and MacBook. |
Now I think it is pretty obvious why Apple is so eager to ban all Samsung's phones and tablets. The iPhone 5 is barely better than the Galaxy S III if at all.

I'm the only one waiting for the nokia 920? this phone look sexy and have nice features

Generally upgrades are expected in all new IT products you buy, whatever it is computers, phones or tv's. If people expect more from Apple it is Apple's own fault. They have (over)hyped their products from day one, so now it is expected they come up with something extraordinary. The step from iPhone 4S -> iPhone 5 is really only spec upgrades. Although I like the look of iPhone 5 better than iPhone 4S, the design is still the same. OS.. again the same as iPhone 4S. Camera.. improved, but it's what is expected with new generation phones. I doubt it is on the same level as Lumia 920 though. New processor and memory is fine but again people expect these things. So it leaves us with some minor app improvements. Now what did Samsung add to Galaxy S III besides hardware upgrades? Quote:
So quite a lot of stuff. Plus a completly new phone design. Not really just a copy of the iPhone as some claim it to be. |

Wow some people are hard to please.... while the new iPhone 5 isn't a big improvement over the 4S, this phone does tons of stuff! Here's a short list without alot of noise:
- about 19% thinner and lighter. - 4 Inch Retina display, 1136 x 640 resolution @ 326 pixels per inch, 16x9 Widescreen - LTE and 802.11n WiFi 150 Mbps download. - Faster CPU + Graphics - Longer Battery life (8 Hours browsing, 8 hours talk, 10 hours video playback time) - New Earpods (tho the old ones were decent) - 3 Microphones (1 top, 1 back, 1 bottom) for "BeamForming" audio pickup. - Gryoscope (!) - iSite Panorama Camera that shoots 40% faster (Nice - My iPhone4 camera is slow) - 1080p Video Camera with Face detection - Take still photos while recording video (Though I think Samsung already has this) - Facetime Video calls over WiFi or Cellular - 3D Maps - Siri ("Where's the closest ATM, Siri?") - Airplay (play movies wirelessly on your tv) etc etc... It's not a big improvement over the iPhone 4, but still wow... |

http://image.ffmobile.com/product/ph...18ec227b73.jpg It also was "i" and had a touch screen with icons + 600MHz CPU (remember it was 2005!). Can I say that Apple has copied it to make their super-puper "first" smart phone on the planet? :pimp |

Instead of making it 18% thinner they could do with 5-10% instead, add a bigger battery and since they switched to nano-SIMs made it a dual-SIM phone. That would have been something to get excited about.
Read some rumors about the Galaxy Note 2 coming to the (unfortunately) Chinese market only with dual-SIM. So far only rumors but would be really nice to see some high end phones with this option. |
Samsung S3 rocks...

From Apple website;
"Or buy at your favorite Apple Retail Store starting at 8:00 a.m. on September 21" Is now to soon to start camping in front of my local Apple store? . |
nothing special
|
I wasn't so disappointed with the 5, my gf has a 4s and was expecting me to buy her the new one, no need to now, its barely moved forward in my opinion, i'll be sticking with the samsung S3, which is the best phone i've ever owned.
|
I don't know. I'm due for an upgrade and I'm pretty pleased by the new specs.
