    10 sets/$65 for feedback on our new store

    After a year dealing with several programmers who would start the project and eventually just disappear we finally got our new store working properly http://www.trainwreckcontent.com/cart/index.php. There are still a few modifications that we are working on (mostly on the back end) and we are going to redo the site design. We have added over 500 sets to the store and currently adding more. As most of you know we shoot a lot of content as well as sell content from several other producers so once we have completely added everything there will be a huge selection of not only content but niches. As I am sure most of you also know that I usually sell bulk packages which only a few are listed on the site. However we are working on adding the old packages we had plus several new ones. We are hoping to have them all added to the site by the end of September.

    I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys and test my site out by offering a special to anyone who gives us feedback either positive or negative. Send us your feedback and you can pick out any 10 sets from the site you want for only $65. Not only are we looking for feedback but this allows us to test the ordering system of the cart. After you place your order either email or message me (please make sure to include your feedback) and I?ll process your order. Once the order has been processed the site will gather all your sets for you and make them available via download within minutes. As always all the content I sell comes with 2257 docs which will be included in the downloads.

    This offer ends at midnight on 9/10/12 and does not include the bulk packages listed on the site currently.

                                                                      That, combined with the fact that I can not find a way to look at a full size sample gives me no way (other than price) to get an idea of the quality of the images.

                                                                                      Sarette - we are working on the thumbs. We decided not to show full sized images because most of the full sized images are 2592x3872. This was just too big so we removed the full sized samples....would you prefer to see full sized samples or samples bigger than the thumbs?

                                                                                          2. Your thumbs are screwed is the problem. It is not the size of the thumb, it is the fact that the images are distorted. It looks like you have lost the aspect ratio. Did you look at the image I posted? That is a screen print of the thumbs you have under your sample pictures link (or however you have the link worded). Do you see anything wrong with the thumbs in the image I posted?

                                                                                          3. Because the thumbs are distorted I can not use them to judge the image quality. Because of that I looked for a full size sample of some kind but it wasn't there. I am used to content stores that offer at least one or two full size samples for each set.

                                                                                          So, in summary: You need to fix the thumbs so that they present an accurate depiction of what the picture looks like. An example of the kind of thumbs I am talking about can be found on just about any free site or tgp. (here is a gallery from one of my blogs, please observe that the thumbs present the original apect ratio and therefore do not get distorted) http://cooterville.com/?gallery=sam_in_red_stockings. These thumbs are set at 250 on the wide side, I don't know if you need to go that big or if you might actually want to go bigger, it is the size I am currently using for most of my gallery builds. In addition, it would help to have at least one or two full size images to look at for each set so you can see what you are buying.

                                                                                              FWIW, this is exactly my experience of, and thoughts on, the site.

                                                                                              Seems pretty fundamental for a content site to have thumbs in the correct ratio, and to have at least a couple of full size, full quality images, otherwise how is anyone going to have any idea what they're buying?

                                                                                                  Yeah, that's pretty much what I was trying to say. Thanx for condensing it some.


                                                                                                  I have other feedback but the main thing is that if I can't see what I am buying I am not gonna buy it.

                                                                                                  Other than that, it looks like a content store to me. I am not seeing anything that really sets it off but if the content is good then a content store doesn't need some fantabulous interface.

                                                                                                  If there is gonna be a ton of content on there to go through then you need to beef up y6ur search options some. Myself, I prefer a search panel set up where I can go click on various properties and then have it show me all sets that matched on all or some of the properties. I find myself clicking redhead, lesbian, midget and strapon quite a bit for some reason.

                                                                                                  So, once you have the thumbs fixed so I can see what I am buying I will let you kno what I think of the cart and purchase parts of the thing, at least if you want that feedback.

                                                                                                      I do actually appriciate the feedback and will talk to my webmaster to have samples of the pictures. I will have to talk to the programmer about the thumb sizes and making them not look distorted.

                                                                                                              - (already mentioned) fix the thumbnail previews
                                                                                                              - offer 1-2 full size images for each set so one can check the quality. No need to show all in full size, just a few to get an idea. Also this limitation shouldn't cause any problems bandwidthwise, etc.
                                                                                                              - Add icons next to the set's name displaying if it's photos, videos or both
                                                                                                              - Add a photo/video/both filter to the search
                                                                                                              - Remove the "Page 2", "Page 3", etc. links from your sitemap ( http://www.trainwreckcontent.com/cart/sitemap.php )
                                                                                                              - Add information about the type of license for the content. Where can it be used? Is it transferable? etc.

                                                                                                                                  yeah dealing with those programmers was a mess but i am glad we got it working except a few minor bugs. As far as other producers products yes we will be adding a lot of new content from the producers we work with...keep you eye out for the updates
