I guess it ensures that no one runs into your car.. and you can always see it. I'm sure there are liability issues with being able to ride in the lift while the car is being transported up. What I do wonder is that there doesn't seem to be any way to access the vehicles while they are up in your appartment. So what happens if you forget something in the car?
