Well technically, "sushi" has nothing to do with fish. It refers to the sweet vinegar rice.

But of course it's in the common phrase meaning anything eaten in a sushi bar. And most sushi has rice, seaweed and some kind of fish I think? Anyway, good eats.

To be honest, that is how I got started. I was never a sushi fan, but adult webmasters always wanted to go have sushi, so I went with the flow, but I would never dream of ordering anything. I remember AaronM and I going for sushi a few years ago and he took the time to find dishes I would enjoy.

Then, Pamiebdvd introduced me to Song. My sushi world opened up.

there are plenty of sushi without fish, if there is sushi fast food restaurant and it has 50 different sushis, most of the cheapest ones are without fish. Such as rice, sea weed and cucumber for example. So those who claim - I do not eat fish hence do not eat sushi are tremendously wrong.
Ps: I never ever tried sushi, don't know for what reason

if you love sushi, u gotta check out this documentary, it's one of my favorite documentary about this one chef in japan, he's world famous for making sushi, he's won the highest award for his restaurant but it's something so unique about him, his entire life was just perfecting the art of making the perfect piece of sushi, one of my favorite quote he says " the ultimate simplicity leads to purity", it's so zen...one of the thing worth mention is when he makes octopus sushi, he would massage the octopus for 2 hours, just to get the flavour out of the octopus, it's so cool, you're gonna want to visit this place in japan.

Last May after Xbiz Tracy and I drove up to Orlando and went to Wolfgang Pucks. I ordered the Sushi and was really expecting a treat but it was TERRIBLE. It was really gross and was turned off from eating there again so we left. I still recommend Sushi though but get it from a real sushi restaurant, not an general place.
