I never said that flying elephants were "unlikely," I said that I've never heard of any evidence regarding that phenomenon. I also never said that angels are "likely," I said it's "possible." Big difference.

I'm not the one who included "To support by testimony; attest" as part of the definition of the word "evidence," so don't blame me for there technically being evidence of angels. You are looking for "physical" evidence, which would obviously be more difficult to obtain. All I was saying is there's no evidence that I know of regarding flying elephants, except maybe for this thread where you seemed to completely make it up out of nowhere.

I don't know why you keep going on about me "wanting" to believe something. I don't want or need to believe anything. Things either exist or they don't, and a lot of things that might exist in this Universe you and I will never know about. You're the one who seems so stuck on "disproving" things that might exist, instead of simply saying "Hmm, I honestly have no clue if they exist or not, I'm just one single human trying to make sense of this existence like everyone else."

You need to step outside of your know-it-all mindset and realize that you don't really "know" anything, none of us do.

I'm not claiming i know everything. Or how the universe works. I'm very open minded to the fact that there could be tons of "things" we can't see (yet). But right now there is absolutely no reason to believe that the chances or there being angels are bigger than the chances of there being flying elephants. Again: can't you really not see what i'm trying to say? You say there is evidence of there being angels. No, there is not. Absolutely no evidence whatsoever. There just tons of believers (like you) who want to see angels and then obviously claim they did. Why no flying elephants? Because nobody cares about flying elephants. It's that simple. If flying elephants could heal, come from heaven, were sent by God, warn people or whatever idiot story you can think of then all those people would instead see flying elephants and you, as a believer, would claim there is evidence that flying elephants exists. This has everything to do with religion and wanting to believe and nothing to do with critical thinking (which for some reason you seem to think you're doing).

And you're not being fair to people who have claimed to experience some sort of alleged extradimensional phenomenon because you already have your mind made up that they are crazy and did not experience what they claim. So it's pointless for someone like you to even look at the evidence (yes, that's what it is because part of the definition of the word evidence is "To support by testimony; attest," which has already been explained for you).

You claim it all has to do with religion but that's not true. Other dimensions which might contain sentient lifeforms of some sort could exist as quantum physics is beginning to explain regardless of what any "religion" has to say about it.

Both of your examples are equally possible. My point is that here on this planet there is a lot more evidence regarding one than the other.

I've never heard anything about flying elephants so I wouldn't even find it necessary to entertain the idea yet. But when it comes to the subject of extradimensional beings we have all kinds of different evidence. I don't think you've ever really looked into this subject so you don't have the slightest clue of what "evidence" I'm even talking about.

There's even famous musicians who have claimed to encounter spiritual entities. That in itself is such a petty tiny trivial piece of evidence, yet there is so much of it out there that it all starts to add up and make you scratch your head and start contemplating the possibility.

Is every single person whos ever spoken of such things absolutely fucking crazy? It's possible. Then on the other hand, is any of it actually based in reality somehow? That's also possible. We don't know. (well except you, you claim to know that it's all fantasy fairy-tale bullshit)

I don't think you understand what evidence is. Maybe you're confusing the term "proof" with "evidence?" I guess we should pause our conversation until you understand what evidence is.

Years ago I was at a bus stop standing behind a group of people also waiting. For some reason I developed this feeling that I was in a really bad spot (like having your hand on a burner before it heats up). I had this very strong urge to move to the front of the group even though I never cut in line anywhere. So I walked around them and took a position next to the bus sign and put my hand around the pole. There was a group of teens horsing around behind me and just as the bus was arriving one of them fell into my back really hard and landed on the ground to the side of me. Had I not moved to the front and grabbed hold of the sign, the timing was just right for him to have ended up under the bus.
