Ways to make money with Tumblr?

Hey everyone! I'm just curious of the different ways that people can make money with Tumblr without getting your account deleted.

The only way that I can think of is just product branding or watermarks in uncopyrighted image posts since affiliate linking isn't permitted and apparently linking to a .com with ref links on that page isn't allowed either.

What are your ideas?

Just check what happens when I ask about how people do to convert CAMS... NOBODY ASNWER or they just answer with IRONY..

I had my high ranking tumblr sites deleted becasue I was promoting adult sponsors.

I know at least 5 other webmasters who had the same problem. So yes, your sites will get deleted soon or late if you promote adult sponsors.

the owners of tumblr only want amateur teens to make sites and non-business related blogs... just check 99% of blogs there, are from teens that are not interested in making any money at all, just waste their time uploading pics and posting trivial stuff.

This industry has changed. There was a time 10 years ago when not only other webmasters, but affiliate managers would have no problem helping people out. Now the industry has changed so much that if you are still making money you don't tell anyone how you are doing it because you don't need or want the competition.

I think that is very good on Tumblr.

ColMike, I don't think Tumblr deletes stuff very aggressively, unless you are spamming or annoying other Tumblr folks i.e. I think it tends to be based on if you get complaints, which really is kinda reasonable, although problematic if you have griefers.

The trick is to use Tumblr blogs in ways other than direct links to paysites. You can use them to send link value through to your own sites, can use them to send actual traffic through and can use them for branding.. you can even use them as a social platform to extend your branding into other accounts.

Or, if you do need to push paysites directly you'd want to mask your aff ulrs with short urls, go easy on the cross linking and create multiple accounts to pick up the slack if some get whacked.
