Next woman NASCR driver

Think you know how to drive? Think you could do this?

http://www.kctv5.com/video?clipId=76...autostart=true

KIA must be haunted, as it accelerated to 135 mph. Would not brake, go into neutral or turn off.

9-1-1 dispatcher said they ever get a call like that again to throw out the starter fob as KIAs have no key.

According to the newspaper article, car would not shift into neutral. Fortunately for her, it was Interstate, that's fairly level with mild curves. 2 troopers caught up to her and one managed to get in front to try and get traffic out of the left lane. If you heard the last of the clip, trooper had to yank the battery cables as the car kept moving forward.

Worst were assholes that wouldn't yield the left lane. Hope the dashcams caught them.

Man driver maybe believable, woman driver not sure I'm buying it. Can't put it in neutral, car goes without hitting gas, brakes don't work, cant turn it off on a luxury automobile such as a Kia something ain't right here.

I did 150-160 during rush hour in a camaro b4 and was pretty intense as shit just comes up so quick that if someone had changed lanes instantly might not have turned out so well.

User error. Take away her license. Why didn't they get her to hold the stop/start button in like turns off every keyless car?

She tried that SEVERAL times

If you heard/watched the last of the clip, trooper had to yank the battery cables as the car kept moving forward with no one in it.

You really think she would blow through that construction zone at 100+ if the car wasn't fucked up.

Wouldn't play on my phone. Had to go by the text on the second link.

Yes. All the Prius self accelerating problems were down to the driver not the car. I doubt this is any different.

She actually drove pretty damn good moving from soft terrain to black top and back again. Most people spin out trying that one.

There was a truck driver in the UK that a similar thing happened to, after looking at the truck and examining it, it was determined that he was an attention seeker and was charged appropriately.

could all have been avoided by pressing and holding the engine stop button for more than 2 consecutive seconds.. or 3 times in 3 seconds. That's what you get for not reading the manual.

I'll have to remember this trick, if I ever get caught speeding on interstate.

This one actually. They've got a $35k version of their Optima.

Can be sure they're actually selling many.

My mom learned to drive on a Model A truck. At 18 learned to drive a tractor for shopping, as they didn't own a car. Women drivers! Give me a fucking break. Bet at 80 she can drive circles around you.

If you idiots would read the news article, after she left the vehicle, it still lurched forward. Troopers had to pull the battery cables. These are guys used to the BS claims of drivers. And the 9-1-1 put her through the drills of trying the "start" button and all else. As for reading the manual, you try that while driving 100+ MPH. Week later, there's no claim she was at fault or faking it.
Sort of like the FAA, claiming all accidents are pilot error. 'We' just don't want to spend time finding out it was pilot error or perhaps problems with the airplane.

Your Windows computer goes blue screen, no big deal. But new cars are nothing but computers. Hers just went Super Blue Screen.

Lighten up sparky was a joke I have driven race cars, motorcycles and well over a million miles all across the midwest in trucks and still hold my CDL with HazMat, Tankers, etc... so think I could take the 80 year old.

60's Chevys had a problem with 3-speeds locking up. Mom didn't miss a beat when in locked in 2nd gear. Found a wide spot and made a circle turn without stalling. I'd had pressed to do a 3-point U at the same spot.

She's dead now, but Mom knew a gal who drove gas tankers. Turned it into such a huge business, that she one year was on the Forbes 400. Couldn't figure out how she never set a gas tanker on fire with the cigars she smoked.

You might have been joking, but about 200 posts to the local paper said she was faking or a stupid woman.
