I doubt this will pass. There is no reason for it, and it would do a huge amount of damage.

I don't live in the UK, but every car I have has been modified in one way or another.

Don't underestimate the EU. We're talking about the same people that passed regulations about the size and shape of fruit and vegetables. We're talking about the same people who issued a directive about the curvature of bananas and cucumbers.

Yes this is happening right now. In the UK an authority has been set up called ATVOD that's www.atvod.car the Authority for Taking Vehicles Off Dee roads. Their remit is to ensure that all modified cars are banned in the UK. But they can only deal with UK citizens so if you're American, French, German or anywhere for that matter you can bring your modified vehicles here and drive around willy nilly.

In my opinion all the cars should be dramatically changed.
Starting from security, leading with saving environment etc.

We have such a nice technology but yet so many people are dying in car/traffic accidents.
