Skype blows ICQ out of the water but we are stuck with ICQ because soooo many adult industry people still use it.

I prefer Skype now, but If you must use ICQ, use the network only and not the client. Use the adium client instead. It's much lighter, loads faster, and isn't bogged down with useless crap and ads.

So from what I can see here, ICQ is to Skype what the Blackberry is to the iPhone. Gets the job done, you can't kill it, but just not as sexy.

Becuase it's cnvenient and ALL my contacts still use it.

In fact when I look at Biz cards, if there is or no ICQ number on it tells me a lot about this person's relationship with our industry.

Here is why ICQ sucks.... someone just sent me a message that is not in my list yet, I saw it on my screen but didnt get to it in time to click it, and now can't find the message. Its just gone.

So I broke down, and got an ICQ number. I just hate having 15 chat clients open on my computer. It really makes my laptop look like shit! Any suggestions on a client that I can use my gtalk, skype, and icq accounts with?
