                                                                                  I lived in LA for a couple of years and it eventually just wore me down. It would be cool if you had plenty of cash and could live in an area where you didn't have to leave very often, but if you are someone who has to commute or drive around a lot the traffic is insane and I found most of the people to be fake, schemers. Although, admittedly I was working in the movie business which seems to have a higher rate of douchbags than a lot of other industries.

                                                                                  Eventually the traffic, smog, crowds and bullshit got to me enough that I had to leave.

                                                                                          I live in my little beach bubble, rarely have to drive unless I want to (have a convertible and motorcycle to enjoy if I do). 15 minute downhill walk to the beach. Cute butts in bikini's for days. L.A. is all right by me.

Two of the great things about LA is that there are plenty of hot women and there is plenty of stuff to do. If you can live in your little bubble and only venture out when you want, life is good. I was in a situation where I probably spent two hours or more every day sitting on the freeway.

I have a few relatives that live in the area, but most of them I didn't grow up around so I don't really know them that well. I made some friends and dating this hot girl for about 9 months. That part of it was good, it was the commuting that really killed me. Also the weather. Where I am from and where I live now there are four seasons. I hated the only season being hot or hotter.
