    EU Syphilis Outbreak Lands in LA...

    Looks like the syphilis outbreak from EU may have landed in US...US performers should consider getting testing for syphilis immediately. If you have recently returned to the US from shooting in the EU you should also retest immediately. There are 20+ syphilis cases there. 4-5 so far here in LA...

                      Every test CM ever did whether AIM, Talent Testing or the ones we do with our own doctor always included gonorrhea, syphilis and hiv

                              Talent testing does test for it and how I have heard it was found.. Manwin owned Cutting Edge does not is my understanding..

                                  It's been years since I tested in the USA but I never was tested for syphilis at AIM. Maybe they started doing it later on.

                                                      AIM/CET tests for Syphilis twice a year (or if there was a chance for outbreak) at no additional cost was my understanding.. TTS does it as part of the standard I also believe.

                                                                  the problem is that you can spread Syphillis already while tests are still negative

                                                                          BTW, I never heard about cases of syphilis contamination during the antibody-negative period. AFAIK the pale treponema does spread via chancres which appear on the second stage when even obsolete Wassermann reaction becomes positive.

                                                                                                  Treatment for first stage Syphilis is by injection of penicillin. If allergic to penicillin, then ciprofloxicin (Cipro) or erythromycin will cure it.
