Bought traffic / plugs - trying it this week. Suggestions?
Going to experiment this week buying traffic off-the-shelf for our paysites. We did not try this before.
I'll start with some plugs, trial and error and tweak.
Found helpful threads on this board about Plugrush and others - albeit mostly from the point of view of the publisher rather than the advertiser.
The plan is to start with a minimal budget, and spend the week cracking the sustainability nut. Then, obviously, scale where it works.
Assuming the conversions of our current sources, we would be able to bid the max bid on quality traffic. HOWEVER, I expect the conversions to be much lower, at least at the beginning of experimenting. I'd be very happy if I could break even with scalable sources, ideally by the end of the week.
Any helpful tips from that anyone is willing to share?

Not to say you won't be able to profit or even break even, but you won't see the results you see on your organic traffic.
