Let me start by saying I'm sure this thread will attract a lot of drama, and there will those who will want to flame me over what's happened. However I will not respond and argue, I am simply here to set the record straight and be honest with people... There will also be those that will say "we told you so" and again you are more than in your right to do so, as you did !
As some will remember we went into partnership some time again with Media Revenue, a lot of people warned us at the time and there were plenty of comments about laying with dogs and getting fleas ! We knew at the time that there were some reasons why people were saying this, but to be frank we had no choice but to do the partnership.
Some people may not like to hear this, but apart from about 5% of people actually make the real money, and the others either dont make the money they make out to, or need to ! We have always worked hard to shoot the content and build the sites without any real reward ! Partnering seemed like a option too good to pass up !
Imagine your a car manufacturer selling 1 car a year, and ford come knocking on your door, where you know you will sell thousands, would you turn them away ? To us it was the only opportunity to be successful, and before people start talking morals, this is the porn industry... and in most industrys, and most big companies, the morals are not always a front runner ahead of cold hard profit.
To be honest it has been a battle to even remain in business, this is our second failed partnership, yes I know we should of learnt from our first mistake. We had partnered with Traffic Gigolos on our then program Pixel Bucks. To say that partnership bombed would be a understatement ! But through that partnership I got to know Terrence Thurber who promised me the Media Revenue deal would not run the same course...
Alas for us that as been the case, of course they would have a very different story I am sure... but for us things were not done right and the program was all but left to die. We have not received any funds through our partnership since April.
Because of this we had started the process of disolving the partnership, which as been a long and drawn out process. We have been working closely with CCBill and Nats to move things over onto our servers and get new billing in place for the sites.
We had believed that things were still in place for the sites, but it was brought to my attention today that the sites were not billing. On further investigation it appears Media Revenue lost their billing in some part, and there was an announcement about that on here (not by them I dont believe) I would like to thank Roald at FreeOnes for bringing this to my attention...
I would suggest every one removes their links until we can get the new billing in place. We have spoken to CCBill and Nats about this, and are pretty confident we can get a new billing solution in place quickly, our tech guy is working on this as we speak. The new system will be a Nat's system driven by CCBill, all payments will be handled by CCBill. This does mean there will be no PPS for now... but something we may explore once every thing is back on track.
I dont really know what I can do to make up for this situation... we're not a big company and dont have a bucket of money to throw at people, as I said at the moment I am just thankful we're still in business... Maybe we can increase every one's %'s for a period to make up for it a little, not sure what you all think about that, I know it's probably not what you are all wanting... but I am trying.
I am sure a lot of you will not promote us again, I am sure a lot stopped promoting us when we partnered with Media Revenue... but I am just trying to let people know the situation and be honest with you all. I hope that when we have things in place, some people will give us a chance, I do believe we have good content and good sites, and it's unsaturated so there is still definetly money to be made.
We're not looking for Sympathy, I am old enough and ugly enough to know what I was getting into, I had hoped it would turn out different... but it didn't ! I am trying to work hard and make it as successful as I can, no one is more gutter how things have gone than me...
