this is true, but penguin seems to have wiped out my game plans, like they made a 180. Sites that were quality to google before penguin, are now shit according to them (page 80 serps). It doesnt make any sense.

I even seen spam sites ranking better then my site,and by spam site i reffering to site which have auto generated content without any sense.

the worst thing is once google decides to bury your site, you can write it off. It's nearly impossible to get it to rank well again. With good domains and sites where you've worked hard on, it's a huge slap in the face and a goddamn waste.

You can't beat this image, Google will always show sites with big traffic first, regardless of the fact that these sites may not have exactly the content the surfer is looking for.

I have one that I don't make a nickle with because I don't want to mess with building it up.
I delete the spammers every few days and let it sit.
I went from position 5 and 6 to 6 and 8 today.
No big deal. I'm sure that won't affect my traffic much.
One day maybe I'll figure out how to monetize it or just sell it off to someone that knows what they're doing.

They are hell bent on getting rid of "thin affiliate sites". Too many ads with affiliate links with little content = you are gonna get smashed. The older/more authoritative your site is, though the more you can get away with.

We have lowered a little recently too, not sure what they did. But the sites above ours now are still adult sites.

Stop being logical when people are looking for a conspiracy theory on why they're not making money.

That was made for adsense,not made for ads.I mean just look at tubes,they are full of ads including popunders dont see them losing ranks.Eventually you could call a banner farm site made for ads but if your site is content rich then you can put billions of ads and it wont be problem.

Made-for-ads. Includes made-for-adsense and thin affiliate sites. Google has been slapping all kinds of affiliate/adsense sites, including Amazon affiliates, TGPs and so on. But hey, believe what you want, not exactly my loss. :)

No need, it *is* true. Sure now and then you can get a site back, obviously, but in the main like you say, forget it. I do agree with some of your other comments though Damage, especially regarding affiliate links, though again, as Klentaris says, you have a huge motherfucker of a site, added with insane amounts of backlinks, mostly truly organic, and it isn't such a big deal.

If you know how algotrithmical penalties work, and you know what the specific algo that buried your site targeted, then you can undo the bad parts and you get back in.

Provided, of course, you didn't do a ton of shit that you can't undo. :)

You have no clue. Of course Google is conspiring against porn. First it was for the sake of getting rid of spammers. Now, it is out of religious/political reasons. Looks at their funding of social projects and politically motivated donations.

Just enter 'pussy' or similar adult terms. Out of 20 results, maybe 1 will be an actual porn site.

Try searching for a less ambiguous term, like 'porn'. You might be surprised. :)
