This is part of Agenda 21, you may have noticed that the US has deliberately been dumbing down and confusing their teaching of Mathematics. The United Nations don't want logical people who can think for themselves; people are hard to manipulate if they are logical and think for themselves; instead of being spoon-fed their beliefs by the mass-media.
