Tumblr tags question

    Tumblr tags question

    hello Im creating some nonude tumblr pages but when I put a tag on the pic it doesnt show up in the tumblr tag stream immediately (say, "girlfriends") is there a lag time or just because I just oppened a new tumblr account and I have to wait some days thanks

      I was about to post the exact same question. I guess this is something new as I can't find much about it. Even if I tag the post with something obscure like "dshjdldsl" it isn't returned by the search. I've left it a few days and things still aren't being returned...

          Email tumblr. I know that Tumblr has always had some lag time as far as posts showing up and what not. I was unaware of the tags.

              Thanks for the suggestion - I've emailed them and will post the response as I seem to have hijacked the thread

                      I've had a response! It seems that for new accounts they just need to be used a bit before this feature is enabled. Maybe this wasn't the case in the past...

                      In order to prevent spam and other types of abuse on Tumblr, that feature is locked on new accounts. After you've used the account for a while to do things like Following other blogs, Liking posts, and customizing your blog's appearance, the feature will be unlocked so you can use it. We apologize for the inconvenience.

                          I have a tumblr account that's 3-4 weeks old, follows people, reblogs, likes, never gotten any links from their tags. I just assumed it was broken.
